Q: Who can attend?
A: Post Op Recovery Bootcamp is the Nurse's Foundation to providing enhanced and evidence based recovery care to post operative cosmetic/plastic surgery clients. This course provides the foundation for starting a post op care concierge.
Q:Who can start a Post Op Concierge?
A:Generally anyone. But, the fact is, even with the boom in outpatient procedures, and surgery centers who provides these procedures on an outpatient basis, surgery is still a medical procedure. Surgery comes with risk. It is important for clients have the proper pre and post operative knowledge and expectations for their journey. As nurses, we are properly trained and positioned to step forward as leaders, to support clients, their surgery care plan, and close the gaps in care. This is our lane.
Q: Do I need a Medical Director or Collaborative Physician? Will you assist with this?
A: Nurses who are providing concierge care within the state defined nursing scope, rarely need a physician oversight. With that said, there are a couple states where this could be different. It is important that you thoroughly research the scope of practice in your state. In most states though, this can be done without physician oversight. We provide resources for partnering with a physician.
Q: Where is the live event held?
A: Class will be held at the Adaptiv Wellness and Recovery Wellness Spa and Drip Lounge. Participants will enjoy a live tour and hands on experience. The live event is a combination of Post Op Recovery on Day 1 and IV Therapy on Day 2. You may learn more about the live event at: www.postoprecvoerybootcamp.com
Q: Should I attend the live event or do the digital at "At Your Pace" Course?
A: The live event provides both Post Op Recovery Bootcamp and IV Therapy within one weekend. The live event also includes simulations, and hands on IV Therapy and Skills Workshop on Day 2. As mentioned above, you also have the opportunity to tour the Adaptiv Wellness and Recovery Spa and Drip Lounge. Whether you attend live, or do the digital course, you will still have full access to replays, and the digital resources such as consents, protocols, supply lists, etc.
Q: Does this course give me a lymphatic drainage certification?
A: No, certification is typically obtained after an average of 40 hours of study, plus hands on skills check off. This course is more specific to starting and building your post op concierge with IV Therapy as an additional revenue stream. We cover supportive therapies including lymphatic drainage, and also provide a simulation at the live event. We have recommendations on further training for post operative lymphatic drainage.
Q: Will I receive a certificate of completion?
A: Yes, all course attendees will receive a certificate. Live attendees will receive during the event, and virtual attendees may submit their info for a certificate to be mailed, or receive a digital certificate.
Q: Does the digital course include both Post Op Recovery and IV Therapy?
This is the Post Op Concierge Course alone, however you may find the bundle which includes this course and IV Therapy under the products page.
